About

It’s so nice to meet you! I’m Kylie — and I am just a home cook. I am not a professional chef, I've never been to culinary school, and I’ve never worked in a restaurant. I have no formal training (other than lots of research and trial and error). And that’s why I started Schweitzer Supper Club. If I can cook, so can you.

I'm an intensely passionate person who found both purpose and a creative outlet in my home kitchen. My cooking philosophy is to teach you a way to prepare a beautiful meal for those you love, and more importantly, find joy in the ritual. Cooking is not necessarily easy, but it can be simple. Cooking is a way to romanticize your life, and this class is a way to help you adopt that mentality and skillset.

Growing up, my dad and I could always be found watching “Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations” together. Schweitzer Supper Club is heavily influenced by Tony’s mentality and attitude towards food. In his book “Medium Raw” he expresses, “I do think the idea that basic cooking skills are a virtue, that the ability to feed yourself and a few others with proficiency should be taught to every young man and woman as a fundamental skill, should become as vital to growing up as learning to wipe one's own ass, cross the street by oneself, or be trusted with money."

Schweitzer Supper Club is more than just a cooking class; it is a community of like-minded individuals who want to celebrate life together over food. Anything worth doing is worth doing well. Let’s cook together.
